Hello to everyone out there in Library land. This is my first ever attempt at blogging so I guess we'll see how it goes.

I always thought that blogs and blogging was something the young people did as way of keeping touch with friends but I am starting to see that it could be a great tool to use in a library setting as a way of communicating and interacting with your borrowers. I wouldn't be wrong in thinking that a lot of libraries are heading down the "self serve" path as a way of cost cutting and as a result we tend to lose that one on one with the customers.
